The Powderhorn Ranch offers many different opportunities for the entire family to enjoy no matter what the season! Our access to year round adventures make south west Colorado and the Powderhorn Valley the perfect destination for your next vacation!

While summer pack trips or full-service, extended trips deep into the wilderness are available through the Powderhorn Ranch - they are offered only as part of the weekly Ranch programs.

Custom, off-season trips are limited to 4 persons per Wrangler and are offered at $100.00 per person per day plus a $75.00 fee per horse per day.

Scenic, off-season horseback rides or day rides are offered at $35.00 per person for a 2 hour adventure and $100.00 per person (lunch included) for a high country ride (minimum of 4 hours).

We also offer off-season, custom designed high-country fishing. This is a great opportunity to fish the pristine and difficult to access high country beaver ponds on horseback for browns or brooks. Call for availability and rates.

Family Horseback Adventures

Experience our Western flavor while taking a guided  horseback tour into wilderness areas. Available most every day in the fall and early winter.

Custom Pack Trips  

We tailor our pack trips and adventures to your needs and expectations. Our prices are inclusive and cover meals and accommodations. We draw your horse from our own herd of over 40 dependable horses.

Each of our horse guides are experienced and reliable, and have been chosen for their personality, knowledge and proven field ability. Our horse back or hiking adventures will take you into the unforgettable high country that surrounds our Ranch. We offer hiking, riding, fishing, rock collecting, bird watching, photography - trips for all tastes and abilities! Our guides and wranglers will get you their comfortably and safely.
